Do your social media profiles need a once over?

Many of us now know the power of social media and how marketing through these platforms can prove very profitable and worthwhile, especially for certain businesses or industries. It can be a little confusing knowing which social media sites you should focus your efforts on and what you should do on them to get the best return. There is no one plan for everyone and so it is important that your social media marketing is designed with your business in mind and tailored to its specific needs.

For example, for one business, Facebook marketing may work well. They may be able to quickly build up a following by running competitions and sharing images of their work that they have done. They may not need to go down the paid for ads route and will instead spend time of communicating with their followers. Another business may find that they get very little engagement on Facebook and Twitter works best for them or LinkedIn. This is not to say they shouldn’t have a presence on the other sites, just that they may not want to focus on them as much as perhaps some of the others that they know will help them build up their brand or even get sales directly through their marketing in these places.
